UNESCO World Heritage Maulbronn Monastery
Built in 1147, the former Cistercian abbey in Maulbronn is considered to be the most completely preserved and probably the most impressive medieval monastery north of the Alps. It was included in the list of World Heritage sites by UNESCO in 1993.
A journey back in time to a bygone railway era is possible with the "Rote Flitzer" (‘red racer’) in Krebsbachtal. The rail bus from the 1950s drives at a leisurely pace along a 17-kilometer route from Neckarbischofsheim-Nord to Hüffenhardt. More information can be found here.

Low-impact travel in a region rich in nature and culture. From Neckarbischofsheim numerous hiking and biking trails lead through the charming landscape, which is characterized by forests, orchards and hedgerows.
The "wavy" countryside of Kraichgau, the Kleine Odenwald-area and the close-by Neckar valley invite you to extensive hiking tours. Neckarbischofsheim is also not far away from the Stromberg-Heuchelberg Nature Park.
It is home to many nature and landscape conservation areas, as well as Natura 2000 sites, natural monuments and biotopes. With a high proportion of oak, the nature park is also an important supplier of barrique wine barrels. More information can be found here.
